If you've always loved the underdog, you'll love Brooks' story! We learned about him over the winter when a neighbor snapped a photo of him chained to a tree with no food, no water and no shelter. The outrage turned from getting him a dog house to getting him, period. So when the owner finally gave him up, the shelter director took Brooks with open arms! She removed the embedded collar from his neck, took him straight to the vet for excellent vet care . . . and Brooks simply wagged his tail the whole time!
